DCC, no need to improve?

Greg,

Don't do anything more to make the DCC better... this will lead to more and
more players and spectators. The industry won't stand for that. Too much
business will make everyone way too happy.

Players need to 'complain' 'whine'and just plain "Bitch" this is way too good
of a deal for pool players. The more players the more 'Bitching" the more
money everyone spends and next thing you know....

The DCC will become the BIGGEST event in the Pool industry WORLD wide. Think of what that will bring...

You will have to hire an army just to herd the players to and from the huge
venue that the State of Kentucky will have to build to house all the tables,
spectators, vendors, TV crews and reporters.

The entry fees will all be paid for by huge corporate sponsors. Uniforms
will be worn to distinguish the PROS from the non-corporate sponsors.

There would have to be Regional tournaments to see who will win the right to
play in the field of 4064 in the BANKS and over 8000 in 1P and a regular
16000 in the 9 ball race to 21.

Keep up the good work.. for now is the simple times.. wait until 2015

Master of the DCC will be the World's most coveted Award.

And it all started with in Kentucky.. by a guy named Greg Sullivan.. Thanks.

Greg,

I told you several times while at the event. DO NOT CHANGE A THING! This is one of the best tournaments I've been to, if not the best.

Tom has a point about players complaining. Here are mine:

There must be a way to tell when you're in the money. A simple spreadsheet with no losses, one loss and then two losses (with the buy-backs) would get the job done. Every round would begin and end with a given number of players left in the tournament.

Please tell the people at the hotel their food SUCKS! Barbequed Chicken that was chicken with a kind of brownish red tasteless sauce on it. The saving grace were the condiments for the hot dogs out back. They were fresh!

OK, I'm done.

Leave it to the pool players to find something to complain about... FOOD.. very important part of any tournament.

Were the beds soft enough?

Was the price too high for the rooms?

How was the weather? :D

I think the first Derby the finals were an extended format. Like race to 4 in one pocket instead of three. I would like it if you went back to that. The bank finals went by too fast. From someone who viewed it via internet it I and my friends had a wonderful time. Hope I can be with you in person next year.

I agree with Tom.. The DCC is simply awesome. Sure, maybe not perfect but better than anything else. I say, tap tap tap......

Hi Tom,

I guess you must have had your own transportation at the DCC. For those of us stuck at the venue, having decent food is a must. After seven days of tasteless eggs, flavorless hash browns, imitation chicken noodle soup (whoops, I'm from New York), too dead hamburgers, the chicken I mentioned and other barely edibles, yes, food is important! If there were alternative restaurants nearby I would have had barely anything to complain about. Next year I will drive the nine hours and have nothing to complain about! Correction, the last Sunday night, having been stranded at the airport, we found an "Italian" restaurant about three miles away. Also found out too late that the bell desk guys would run guests out to local restaurants for a small fee. Sorry!

Hey CK next time you go lets hook up. Food is important to my well being too! (I live in Manhattan part of the year.) Ive got to find out if Louisville has anything to offer in the calorie department. Friends of mine who went before me always told me to bring a care package full of goodies cause if you're stuck in the hotel you're dead.

I just watched it on the computer and my only complaint is that it wasn't long enough!! I loved it!! But then again, I could cook my own food! LOL!!
