Earl is a little different but I like him because he is genuine. He doesn't hide his feelings for better or worse.

He is a genuine jerk. He should start hiding them before he gets a genuine ass kicking.

Earl acted like a man who could care less about winning at the US Open in September this year. He's so good that people keep wanting to see him play and they have to hope that he can keep it together long enough to finish his match. It seems like the slightest thing can set him off and then he's done for the rest of the match. It's a shame that a man can be blessed with so much talent and then can't control his emotions to display it. With all of the titles he's won just think about how many more titles he could have won if he played his normal speed in every match and didn't let his emotions get out of control.

If he continues to treat the fans and his opponents the way he does, he will be needing more protection then catchers attire.

Is it just me or does anyone else see the resemblance between Earl and Kevin Coustner's character in "Tin Cup" when Coustner loses his stroke and start trying all the gimmick and strap-on (no wise cracks) devices?

A catcher's mitt increases your 'feel' for the cue and a face mask, um, uh, protects you from the extremely powerful break you can get while wearing a catcher's mitt.
