When you are in dead stroke, it is like zen, you make the ball and get good
position on the next ball, you become one with the table, who your opponent
is does not matter.

How do you get in dead stroke?

It just happens?

Or is their a way the better players get in dead stroke?

Any input?

Solid fundamentals and an airtight pre-shot routine keeps pressure from entering the shot, and it gives you a rhythm.

Then I think the capacity to focus on process, rather than results.

Also, simply knowing all your shots and patterns, so you don't have to deliberate over every other shot.

Pro players are significantly more evolved than everyone else on those three aspects, it looks like to my lay eyes.

It's really not a religion. Deadstroke is a result of work and determination.
