Okay tonight i had a guy tell me something that ...to be honest i have never heard before ..so i thought i would bring it to the forum. He picked up my stick and looked it over and then said you have a dead tip. I replied what. He said ..yeah lift up on the tip and bit..see how spongy it is and raises up and down like a accordian. I told him i didnt know that it could happen. IS this true and if so how does it effect your shooting.

thanks...

IMO I find that as signs of its time to change the tip........Ive had the same Moori on my cue for bout a year or so ( Thanks SHootingArts :):):):) ) and I check it very often and it still works great.........

I would guess that he is right and your tip should be changed. This does happen occasionally with certain types of tips over time. It will affect your shooting for sure. Inconsistent hits for one.

I would agree. I've seen a few tips do that, and I would say it's time to get a new tip.

yup...happens frequently. If you push up hard enough it will pop off or rip in half. I have done 100's of tips, and I push on each one to see if they were tight, or de-lamming, had an air pocket, so i can let the owner know if there was an issue....might answer some questions for them.
