Yes, Jack Potter is an excellent player. 1 3 fouled him once. Safety play was the deciding factor. Many of the "old school" guys do not jump! LOL. My Jumping Jack from Jack Kompan is hard to fade!

All the tables have the same felt. It's just testimony to the difference a table mechanic can make for us players.

Thanks for coming Sang! I'm sorry we didn't get to play for chicken. Maybe next time. LOL.

Ray
Beware of the chicken hawk, Sang.

Now that's some advice I must add to my memory bank.

Man, you know too much.

Here's a shot I didn't know what to do & messed it up. Advice is appreciated:

Two railer with RH english. Looking at the diagram, shoot towards the LR hand pocket and aim 1/2 diamond. Shoot with medium speed. I know this shot because I was faced with it once in competition and I made it.

Yes

I made this shot at the 2004 BCA State Championship. It was 8 ball and the ball hanging was the 8!! I made it the way Chris described. Hit it with some medium inside english.

The way you have it diagramed, it almost looks like you could spin it in with some high outside.

Thanks Ray for another great event. I think your decision to extend the races was right. It was nice to meet a few new faces of people here on this forum. Thanks for the nice green Christmas rep cookies. Hang in there Shayla. RKC will be here soon and you too will know that he is worth the wait. It was great to see more ladies show up and play. Even though this is a "B" level tourney, I think the level of most players in the field is much stronger. I would like to see and play against some top WPBA members at this event. I have one suggestion that I think is feasible. Just prior to the even it would be great to have all of the table spots replaced, clean the balls and vacuum the cloth. This could be done after closing the night before, or the morning before. Overall I think the tables are in decent condition, but little details like this can make a big difference for the better. I would also like to thank James Hanshew for coming out and taking care of our cues. He is a great person to deal with and he's always done top notch work on my cues. Thanks for hearing me out and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Here's to another year at Click's Waco!

This could work too.

The diagram above is too suicidal considering the score was 4-4, Ray.

Chris's suggestion can work but requires some practice. I have never seen this shot before as you know I am a rookie.

This is what I did & messed up & he ran out. I was hoping that if I missed, the 8-ball would be behind the 9-ball & safe.

Ray, I need to start hanging out with you more. I might learn something. Again, thanks for the great event. Can't wait for the next one to come.

ray is very wise indeed....especially when it comes to chicken! he was getting pretty hungry, but no samiel there to play for da dinner!

Sounds like I missed a good tournament. Unfortunately I had a prior engagement (wife's Christmas party). It's good to hear some of the top ladies made it up... adds a lot of pressure for the macho guys! :p

Maybe next month! :p
