Decent 8 ball run out, your thoughts please.

Every once in awhile I film shooting pool, and had this rack happen today.

Love to hear your thoughts on the rack either through Youtube comments, or here.

Tear me apart everyone.
How many times out of 10 can you run out from the break?

Nice out, but why not the 13 off 5 in the side?? Everyone sees em diff and that's why this game appeals, but that would have kept you down by your other balls and you wouldn't have had to slam that 9. I prefer to hang mid table and shoot those short easy shots.😉 Thanks for the post.👍🏻

Didn't really see it until you just said something, thank you for a different point of view, will look out for those type of shots more.

#1 well done good shooting

#2 break and run is when the breaker runs out

#3 your pattern choices had flaws
that your ability and lucky rolls masked

(meaning i think you could have made it
easier on yourself, but these decisions are
personal and not black or white)

#4 film yourself more often

A bit to much bumping balls unnecessarily usually ends a run
The first shot a triple combo when there was others open to shoot was wild
They didn’t have to roll open and free like they did
Rules of 8b that if broken usually end up not as good

Made a great cut and bank tho
The 3 ball combo off the rail when they were exactly lined up or hanging

But you made it happen is all that matters in the end !

Exactly why I hate playing a league that mixes 9ft and BB.

My participation ribbon opinion...?...: Good job...! Well done...! You hit a lot of great shots..!

Reality...?...: Typical slash a pray play I've seen/endured with bottom end players. Yep you got out, can't argue that. However there was near zero plan and small handful of "lets swing at this and see what happens". Bank recoveries bailed you out, that may drop or not, on the next BB you're playing on.

-14 via combo was going to leave a shot on the 10, so I'll give credit there. However at the pace you drilled it. You could have made you life difficult with splashing the solids at the bottom rail. A more deliberate shot would have gotten you on the 10 nicely, (see next comment).
-10 was a shot to nothing. Hard to tell but possibly slow rolling the shot and working the pocket could have gotten you shape on the 12 to opposite top corner. From there the table plays pretty nice and without requiring any banks to get out.
-13 was a slash and pray
-9 was hit at slash pace just in hopes of something positive happening
-11 was the best shot of the rack. Tough angle that was better suited for the corner, but you hit it great and with purpose
-12 was a roll and hope. Player with any strength would have likely hit it strong with draw. That would either have moved the 15 to open table or brought the CB back and forth for a direct shot in the side. There is method to your simplicity though in resigning yourself to a bad bank on the next ball.
-15 was hit as good as anyone could have. Not a fan of how you dropped the ball, but the purposeful CB control was great. Most at your level would have just fully concentrated on the pot and not considered the 8b

You should be proud of the 11 and 15. 11 for the accuracy of the shot. 15 for the fore sight to get on the 8. The rest... SL3.

Lots of positives to develop...

I know I'm being an ass, but I don't think this stuff shouldn't be sugar coated if you truly 'want' a useful critique. I also think it important for reviewers to include their ratings. It adds context imo. APA 7/9, BCA 13, Fargo 676.

Reviewing after break. I probably would have leaned toward the solids. However after seeing what came after your opening shot. High ball was the right choice. Your method was madness though...lol

Keep swinging.
