Never heard of this table make, what model? Details including original rails used and what type of slate layout?

TIA,

Scott

I can get it for $450 with new 860 simonis installed a few years ago and very light play afterwards. Would be for replacing a VERY tired table at one of the local Eagles clubs. After talking to the owner (which actually turned out to be a fellow league captain in one of my old leagues) he says the table plays well and quick with responsive rails. I'm mostly concerned about slate layout and how stable the table is...

Stable that word caught my attention.
Your other observations were good.
I've seen tables with the same type of leg set up in a pool room.
They were 9' AMF tables in Denver.
Those tables underwood structures/framework was NOT like a Gold Crown, it easily moved lengthwise when you were stretching out reaching shot and you lower body weight contacted the top rail/and skirting.
I'd like to see the way the underframe is built, to me that's key.

I'd never by any house without looking at it's foundation FIRST.
Show us a pic of the framework underneath the slate.

owner / league friend reported back as "it is very stable with a very heavy base". I trust him (yet would want to verify in person, as this statement is a subjective one), might go check it out tomorrow on the holiday...

The plastic trim reminds me of Fisher home tables, I would steer very clear of this table. If it is a Fisher the rails probably do not bolt thru the slate, it will never play nice.

My buddy had a Fisher... it was a real great fashionable................................piece of shhhhh

More photos from seller, it does look like rails bolt through the slate as far as I can tell from the photos below. Yes, it seems to be a cheaper table but for $450 out the door (not including moving and setup fees) with new-ish 860 tournament blue and lively rails is it really that bad given the VERY tired table currently at the Eagles club?

This is the outer area of the under frame, what's down the Middle.
The main support beam.
Like the roof on your home, it has to have a middle main supporting beam structure.

Looks to have typical home-table const. Would prob. be fine in your scenario. For the money you can't really lose here. Not every situation requires GC-like quality. Looks a lot like how Gandy BigG's were made and lots of poolrooms used them for years.
