Delrin Gib for taig carraige

You must have the old style carriage. On the older carriages the gib is totally different than the new ones. Drop me a PM and I will get you one that will work with your carriage.

I've been meaning to ask You that. When I was fooling with the thumb screw I noticed that the back of the carriage on My new lathe looks longer/deeper then the one on My deluxe. Now that I took a better look at It, the front looks a little different too.

Thanks Chris for clearing this up, I wasn't aware of the older style carriages had a totally different gib.
If anyone isn't sure which carriage they have, the dimensions of a current Taig carriage gib is: 3/16" thick x 3.25" long 0.5" deep( wide)
If you need a gib in a different size, I might be able to have it made too.
Regards

The first carriages were made out of a casting. The later ones were made out of an extrusion. So they are different and the gibs are made different also.

I see the carriage is also a little wider now. It could just be that It's a newer lathe then My deluxe, but the new carriage seems to help some with the stability of It. It feels more ridged without having to snug the gib down too much, therefore still slides up and down very smoothly while being tight at the same time.

Bassel, do you have any more of the delrin gibs and bed goo? I had sent you a pm about your wide carriage and powerfeed if you get time. Not sure if these gibs will help or I might just get a new carriage anyways. If you get time, shoot me a message back.

Thanks
