Here is a pic of a cue I just finished for a customer in Holland. The main cue components are a full splice PH and ebony blank with the PH going the full length of the butt. The handle wood is 50,000 year old ancient Kauri wood from New Zealand. Thanks for looking.

My cue came out real nice Mr. Flynn!
Can't wait to hit some balls with it!
Btw, the ebony runs the full length, not the purple.

I just recently discovered that site with the Kauri wood...looks like some interesting wood...that tree looks like it's 12 feet in diameter...

i have seen the Kauri site as well.they have some pieces that are gorgeous.i read somewhere else that it is a Pine.how was it to work with.
 
Ancient Kauri wood from New Zealand

Hi Masonh: Kauri works a lot like cherry or mohogany. I bought a plank of the "White Bait" about 10 years ago. Most expensive wood I had purchased to date.
Saved some pieces for guitar tops and the rest I earmarked for cues. It cannot
be used as a structural component and it must be cored and it is very, very light
in weight but finished beautifully.
