Dennis Dieckman Custom Cue circa 1990 w/one shaft
from the auction:
• Very rare and collectible
• Fresh April 25th 2006 professional refinish by Scott Sherbine of Proficient Billiards
• 13.0 mm White Micarta ferrule with Moori III Medium Tip 29" shaft
• Overall weight is 19.2 oz. 30" Butt
• Awesome Birds Eye Maple forearm and handle
• Linen Rings with maple blocks at A, D and E
• double pressed Blue with White speck Irish Linen wrap
• awesome old school hit and feel if you got the game this cue can bring home the money
This is a used cue, which will only gain in value ... it would make a great addition to anyones collection... if you win the auction you will own a piece of cue making history from a storied cue maker
this cue was ordered by Joe Parson in Paragould, Arkansas who commissioned Dieckman to build him 6 plain jane maple cues, this was back in the late 80's. Dennis delivered 4 of the plain maple cues. When Joe asked him about the remaining two, Dennis pointed to his back yard at where the other two cues were sticking up out of the ground
That is one of the things that make Dennis such a unique character...
Dennis is the best "woodman" around and is known for having the best shaft selection... he is a zen like cue maker, he calls himself the "Maker of Magic Wands"... these cues are becoming more collectible each day...
3/8 10 stainless steel pin with a flat faced linen phenolic joint... straight rolling micarta ferruled shaft, slight roll in butt, do to exposed wrap not a warp in the wood...which in no way effects play...
if you are looking for a collectible cue that plays jam up, then this is the cue for you... also the balance of the cue is wonderful, the cue is naturally weighted so there is no weight bolt...
I am available to answer any questions so please feel free to ask.
