Dennis Dieckman cues

Does anyone have, or used to have a Dennis Dieckman cue ?.....And if so, what do you think of the quality and playability of it.....I know that he is more known for his 3 cushion billiard cues, but I'm wanting to know about his pool cues. Thanks, Ghost

I've had one for probably 9 to 10 years. Mine is a four point into rosewood. It has a stainless joint 5/16-14. The ferrules are ivorine III, he does not use any ivory in his cues. The ferrules are sleeved not capped. He uses a hyperbolic taper, it grows in diameter slightly during the "pro taper" section. It hits very hard and stiff. He uses some really nice shaft wood. I got two shafts and they were weight matched to near perfection. Dennis is a real nice guy, also a bit eccentric. You could definitely do a lot worse in selecting a cue. Hit is very subjective, so take it all with a grain of salt. Is there anyone near you that has one, that you could test hit?

Thanks for the replies.....I know 2 guys that own Dieckman cues, but they both have billiard cues ( the cues have beautiful woods/wood-work, one with gorgeous butterfly points ).....I've never had the opportunity to see in person, or hit with a Dieckman pool cue though.

To you, if you want a cue, and I have been farting around building them since 1973, you may simply call me DIECKMAN, sorta like PICASSO or ELVIS, MOTZART even....If you want weird Dieckman can handle it.....if you want normal, well, he can send you to anyone of 100 of his students and they will take care of you.....

Dieckman- you have a good website- articles on cuemaking are really interesting. Nice matching photos with you in Vietnam. Board will be interesting if you start posting.
