That means that you will have to get all your 50 qualifiers before Feb.? Will it come out of the applications that are applying for the 8 open spots? It may seem anticlimactic to have the two $1M tournaments last, with just IPT members. I thought the original schedule was better, plus it would give more time to get the 50 Q for each tournament. Was it to make sure people started getting paid in last place, for those where it would be a hardship to fly to 3 events before cashing? (They can earn $ by referring players to Q and pay for their expenses that way.)

What if one of the 50 qualifiers cashes high? Will their prize money count in the standings? Potentially, someone like Alex could come in and win both of those and be ranked higher in prize winnings than Sigel, or more importantly, one of the players hovering around the 100 mark. In fact, all 50 players could edge out someone hovering around the 100 mark.

Our understanding is that the 50 Q are not eligible to be in the 150 member earned money spots. But he could he give an exemption to that player in following tournaments in years to come.

Deno, thanks for taking the time to clarify these points.

Good points I noticed the changes too. I have so many questions I'm sure shared by others. I hope you don't mind answering these in the forum Deno as it problem gets out to more people that way and saves you repeating yourself!

1) Many players on this forum (and others that I have spoken to personally) have asked for a round robin qualifier. All the IPT events use a round robin format is there a reason why the players that where already unlucky enough not to be picked now have to run the gaunlet of an unseeded double elimination?

2) What will the format of the qualifying events for both the two open tournaments AND the end of year qualifying? I'm sure there are many other people like myself that work fulltime and can't afford to attend all the events but would like to plan in advance which qualifiers to attend (if they can not attend all of them for whatever reason)

3) In the email regarding the qualifiers I thought two things where unclear:
a) I think it says you don't have to complete the application form again if you have already done it. Does this include the original IPT application or do you mean if you have completed it in the last few days since the article went online. (I assume you don't have to complete it again if you applied originally as its the same questions?)

4) You say that it's $2000 entry for the qualifiers but if you don't qualify you are entitled to enter another qualifier. I assume this will be like the WPC in that one entry ($2000) covers you for all 4 qualifers? I hope you don't mean that you would have to pay $2000 for each of the 4 four qualifiers!!!

(Loads more questions but I leave it there as Im sure youre busy and these seem to be the main ones that I think most people would like clarification on)

Cheers

Craig
