Relaying for the Derby Cit Classic event coordinators:

The Derby City Classic 9-ball event will be allocated WPA points this year, for those that are interested and were wondering. It is a Race to 9, as expected.

Is this why the Roberts award is no longer a part of the official turnament? Less "seedy"? LOL

Seeing as how the BCA is the North American arm for the WPA. (so to speak)
Why are they not putting out this information, or is that even to much for them ?

The BCA probably will put the information out there. The DCC event coordinators wanted AZBilliards forum to know, so they asked me to post. I said, "sure."
