Really excited for the Derby this year. Going to be there Friday- Sunday the first weekend. Looking to pick up a new custom cue. Does anyone have a list of cue vendors or builders that will be there?

They don't have a list of vendors that I can recall. I have been going for many years and here is what I can remember.

Jerry Olivier Custom Cues (I probably misspelled that)
Zen Cues
There are probably a few more that I don't remember.

Last year Todd Carpenter was there but not sure if he's coming again or not. Guy makes phenomenal cues, give him a look if he's there.
I have a collab cue with him and Showman. Great playing cue.
He was at the Expo too

"Looking to pick up a new custom cue" - definitely go prepared with some idea as to what exactly you are looking for.
There are normally loads of custom cues on display/available to purchase. Narrowing it down to which one you'd buy may not be that easy. A nice problem to have...
One thing I'd add - if you have a fav tip that you'd prefer on a new cue - then buy one before going. In previous years there has not been a huge selection of tips for sale. Blackburn cue maintenance are normally there and can put it on for you.
A few yrs back Josh T. was unloading his truck when someone spotted him. He sold every cue right there in the parking lot. Came inside and just put a closed sign on his booth. People with wads of cash lined up and bought all he brought. Moral of this tale is get there early and bring plenty of $$$.

no. it was a line of buyers from what what my friend told me. not just one buyer. apparently someone spotted him pulling in and they hit him like piranas.

Joe Salazar always had a booth with some high-end cues. Since he's passed, I'm curious to see what happens in that location.

Yeah but selling choice stuff in the parking lot can be a violation. It was obviously looser there. Not saying he killed the market but would you have stood idly by while a competitor snagged all your customers?

That was definitely a hole missing at the International last month here in FL. He had a nice mix of cues last year.
He always had super stuff. It was candyland for cue guys. Don Sherman was another, all goodies.
