So this is what I just learned yesterday. The Desert Shoot 10-ball event was moved to Kolby's. Something about how Chuck and the Sheraton had a miscommunication about when the money would be paid and two days prior to the event, the Sheration cancels it all and Chuck and UPA company have to scramble to find a new location for this UPA sanctioned event.
How terrible is it when the sport clearly shows so little importance to the main stream world that a PRO event could be canceled 48hours from it's start. Makes me sad.
On a brighter note, Kolby's (where the Earl/Archer school occurred) picked up the pieces and the event is happening there.
1st round matches that I know about are:
Tony Robles vs. Randy Whitehead
Mika Immonen vs. Efren Reyes
Corey Deuel vr. Dennis Hatch
Does anyone know if they are doing brackets online or where updates can be found. I'm hoping some friendly AZers will be in attendance and can shed some light on the events progress.
