Detroit to Tampa

hi everybody,
i live in the detroit area, and i found a nice job in lakeland, fl, i am moving 26th, thursday next week. where are the nice spots around tampa, orlando, with good equipment and action?
also i will be spending some extra time on the road, i will be driving through ohio, kentucky, georgia, vs. does anyone know where i could stop for some cheap 9ball or 10ball action? nothing outta line, maybe $200sets or so. or are there any azers on the way out there maybe i could meet and have a friendly cheap game. maybe some onehole, $100 a game or so.
i am not really a player, i just love the game. i am rated A-, here in detroit handicap tournaments that i dont even play in anymore. i do get offered ridiculous spots by the top players around here like chohan, wiseman, etc, i dont really bet as high as those guys so we didnt really play.
i am only hoping to have a good time and have a friendly bet so dont fire away at me, i would like an even game we can figure it out.
i am not from the states, i recently moved here from europe, so i am really not familiar with one pocket but i'll give it a try.

There is a good poolroom in Lakeland. Lots of places to play on highway 19 north which is north and west of Tampa. Strokers on 19n in Palm Harbor is my favorite!

My favorite place to shoot is planet 9-ball but mainly because it's the biggest with the most choices in tables(diamond tables, mmmmmmm)... BUT it's probably 45 mins from lakeland in oldsmar. My favorite shop is robersons billiards in downtown. If fact, I need to head down there tomorrow(haven't been to the shop in about 2 years).

We have played a little golf together and talked a little snooker. I didn't know you were looking for a 9-ball or one pocket game. If your looking for a game before you leave, let me know. I'll stop up at Hall of Fame after work this week.

If not, take it easy and have a great time in Florida.

o is the first letter of my middle name, some waitress looked at my credit card and decided to call me rocko now everybody calls me that.
yeah dave but you shoot too straight man, i watched that onepocket game against whatshisface. but yeah we'll try a game, stop by after work, if not, you got easy golf action anyways, and ill get back to my backgammon game.
