Deuel versus Chohan

Hey, I'm a Tony fan. I love watching him play 1hole. Tony has skills in all games but, 1hole is the only game he is considered a favorite to win. Even then he isn't the favorite with the true elite.

I’m curious to know what non-Filipino do you think is a favorite playing Tony in a long race or 8 ahead.

I am glad to see all the responses even if some slipped away from the initially posed question.

I, too, would like to see that match.

On a side note, it is great to see Justin Hall in the finals with Busty in the current Big Truck promotion of the Scotty Townsend Memorial Tournament. Seems like many times we watch an all Filipino finals in 1P tournaments. I understand because they play great one pocket but, as Josh Roberts said, "We(certainly not me but American players) need to win some of our American tournaments."

As one data point to base this speculation on, I was sitting next to Tony a few months ago when Shane walked by. Tony, with a sarcastic smile on his face, called out "wanna play some one pocket?", knowing Shane didn't want to play him even.

Shane walked by and smirked, but walked back about a minute later and said "10-8". Tony rolled his eyes, Shane smirked some more, and there was no further discussion (and no game).

So, somewhere in between there is where those 2 players line up.

Several years ago at California Billiards, Tony beat Shane 10 games to 9 twice at $5000 per set. Shane would rob Tony at 10/8 or 8/7. If they would do a race 50 spread out over 5 days I might even take Shane playing even. I think 8/7 would be the game for Corey.
