Howdy, we had a very competitive tournament:
5th, 6th went to Sas Wu (A) Dallas and Gordy Vanderveer (A++) Dallas
4th to Jon Rawlns (A+) Denton
3rd to Sammy Downs (A) Dallas another strong showing for him
2nd to Joseph Olivarez (B+) Waco,caught another gear to move up through the second chance side to play in the finals
1st wait for it..........
Chen (A+++) Dallas, took the win again he has had a great month with final wins all over Texas

With his second consecutive win at The Golden Triangle Nine ball tournament, Chen will have to sit out the next two events.

J.R.s have added new shades to the glass doors and windows also two more fans for the once a month event.
Was cool and no glare
A total pay out over 1300.00

Thankyou to all the players and spectators for coming out
Had a surprise by my family, showed up with a cake and gifts.
Finally turned 21 (:

See ya'll next month

You should be an A or A+ minimum! IMO. Since you brought it up.:wink:

Howdy Joesph, yeah you did get some rolls to get by a few players, but through out the tournament you played smart ran out when needed, with only one match getting one off the hill and showed that you have earned your move up to the A's, even with one more game you would have still made through the second chance side to play Chen in the finals. Good play Joesph hope to see you next month.

P.S. Chen has accumulated 30 points now will be sitting out the next two tournaments, to get below the 20 point cut off.
 
I wish I could've made it out to this one. It seems like I haven't been to a tournament like this in so long. Good shooting Jo!!


On another note...it says here that Jo was supposed to be an A. :confused:

Howdy guys, I take reponsibillity for setting and mantaining the rankings. I will be making some more changes to the tournament, which will be seen on the updated flier. Any questions, you can always PM me or just call.

If you feel any rankings of a player is too favorable please speak up during the players meeting,remember unkown players will start as an A. If a Master,G-master, or pro try to slip in as an unknown they will forfit their match and entry fee.
All players that I have yet to see will show photo ID and that name will be used on a Web search. I based Joesphs ranking on league stats. They are not perfect, but during the players meeting nobody spoke up, so that infers to me that nobody had an objection two the rankings, after start of play I will not change a players ranking during the tournament, to much bais can occur, but remember you will only get one shot with a lowered rank, not being forthcoming with your abilites for a tournament only hurts said player in the long run.

When did Joseph play League? Besides when he no-showed my team......twice! (diggin up old bones now)

Snapped off the Shooters Waco tourny, 2nd at Clicks Waco 2 months in a row with the Shooters win in the middle!!!

Hell, now that I think of it, he should probably be an A+ or A++!

I'm just messing with Joseph. I wasn't even at the tournament, unfortunately. Will try my best though, just have to convince the girlfriend to come out.

Haha! She is actually on the boards sometimes but mostly sale/trade threads. Her birthday is the 29th of this month:

"Happy Birthday! Now come to the TX Open and sit through this players meeting with me."

Talk about bad timing.
