Hi!

I want to have an extension built for my predator p3 and therefore I am looking for the size and thread counts for the P3 Uni-Loc Weight bolts.

I have the weight cartrigde and with my caliper I get 5/8 inch diameter and 17 threads per inch, but I am wondering if someone has the exact specs. Maybe thread density also has some importance when finding a suitable bolt.

Thanks, Jon Birger

Is the extension only going to be used for a long shot every now and then so you don't have to use a bridge? If so, just have an extension made for the middle of the cue. I've made about 10 of them. All the parts and taps are readily available for Uni-loc joints. That way, nobody has to mess around with an odd ball size thread like the aforementioned 5/8-17.

p.s. What the heck is thread density?

extension

The thread is probabley metric, just guessing on the origin ..But I do know here in some leagues you can't break apart your cue, or you forfeit the game..Unless for mechanical malfunctions, tip or ferrule breaks, stuff like that..But you can add and remove a butt extension..Someone on fleabay had some that were a collet lock type, looked to be a good one..I have a joint extender as mentioned I use for snooker and just leave it in, works wonders...

Thanks for sharing the thread link. I have also received some other feedback.

15.88 mm is very close to 5/8 inch - 15.875mm

The thread count is most probably 18 per inch.

Getting answers on e-mails to Predator, is from my experience not very likely.

... Personally I would prefer a normal extender and no in-between-extender.
