Diamond 3 piece slate?

Yes, 3 piece is available. No they are not framed. Yes, they have to be glued. The wood under the slate is NOT to be used to staple the cloth in.

Sometimes it depends on exactly how and where the table is being installed as to whether or not you need a 3 piece slate. I've installed 9ft ProAms where the body of the table wouldn't make the turns, but the 1 piece slate would, so I've taken the table apart, then reassemble it in the room, then brought the slate in on a cart and flipped it back up on the table, then bolted the rails back down. So again, it depends on where the table is being installed.
I've also cut the 1 piece slate in half and installed it up stairs and downstairs, then put the slates back together again, just like normal.

Bottom line is who's doing the install as to how it'll turn out. If you was in the PNW, it would be myself doing the work.
One other thing to keep in mind if you got the 3 piece slate route, make sure to inform the installers that when the put the bed cloth on, because the slate don't have a backing to protect the balls from bouncing up and hitting the slate when being pocketed, make sure to cover the entire pocket shelf as well as under the lip of the shelf with the cloth, sometimes they'll leave little cut marks in the pocket flaps to high up exposing the bottom lip of the pocket shelf to the balls that sometimes bounce up before going down the return track. They should like like these finished pockets, they won't contribute to small chips in the balls as a result in the pocket lip not completely covered.
