It's a shame... There's some pretty good players around Reno, hopefully the place will open back up. I think one of the downfalls of the place is it had no food. I know it's not cheap to put in a kitchen, with all the permits and code requirements, but you have to have food. I hope there really is a re-model in the works, but I'm skeptical...

pool room biz is tough all over, the real-estate boom hurt pool rooms, then video games, face book etc. Its just not a viable biz anymore.

When Bobby Hunter had the pool room in Carson that was THE spot, of course that was over 20 years ago too.

That's true all over LOL, 20 years ago I could pick any of 4-5 rooms around Boston to play in, it was more of a "where do I feel like going today" than what's happening now which is "well, this room is the only room within an hour of me". And those 4-5 were good rooms, there were a few more you could have gone to if you did not care about how the tables or players were.
