Hey, I have a question, maybe someone can help me out.
I ordered a 7' Diamond Pro Am a few week's ago with RKC (Glen's) help and I asked if he could do the delivery and set up for me. Brian at Diamond said yes but I'd better be prepared to be patient, "Glen's a bizzy man" I've heard nothing but good thing's about his skill's but my question is this, because the Pro Am ship's completely assembled other then the leg's, what differance does it really make who set's it up? I'm sure whoever Diamond contracts is perfectly capable of setting it up properly. If it was a Pro Table I can see the benifit of having someone like Glen set it up. Am I waiting for nothing? thx in advance, Rich Alexander

Just because the top comes assembled, doesn't mean it is just right. A table can be 'tweaked' a fair amount to get it to play as you would like it to play.

Wait for Glen. He get that table set-up just right for you. A properly set-up table now will be a problem-free table for a long time. And Glen has earned his reputation for good reason. :yeah:

Probably just as hard as waiting on a cue...LoL.

I look at it this way....Glen knows his stuff. Heck, I would venture to guess he knows Diamonds better than Diamond does! And I am betting that you will be absolutely delighted with the table once he is done. Congrats!

Well, anyone can set up a table, I will have to agree with that, but...not many know or understand the leveling system on a Diamond ProAm. I'm trying to teach mechanics as I go, but it's a slow process...LOL One of the problems I've run into, is going back to someone's house to level a Diamond after someone else tried to level it and didn't understand what they were doing and the table is now unlevel. I just heard of Diamond someone drilled holes into to put in slate screws because the one piece slate didn't have any slate screws in it, the dumbshit didn't understand the 12 rail bolts that bolt the rails down...go through the frame/slate and into the rails and clamp the slate to the frame of the table tighter than any slate screws could do:eek: and the person ran the slate screws through the leveling wedges that are used to level the slate!!!! Then recovered the slate with new cloth!!!! All the ass had to do, was pick up the phone can call Diamond or me if he didn't know what in the hell he was doing!!!

When you have a table that can easily give you perfect play, why try to cut corners with a table mechanic. Hold out for the triple nuts!! Glen is the "real deal". Worth the wait!
