I msg'd Chad at D'mond and asked about their slates and shelf depths. He said that since 2015 all 8/9foot slates have same shelf depth. Before that there were slight differences. The 7' slates have a slightly shorter depth starting in 2020. This topic comes up at times and this info is direct from them. Chad is a great guy, always answers well and pretty quick.
