I saw the Predator table at SBE last spring. At first glance it looks cool but it does look kinda plastic to me. It still looks better to me than a diamond table which I have never liked from an aesthetic perspective. I did not play on the predator table so I did not vote in the poll. I prefer my extended rail GC III table to a Diamond table when it comes to how it plays and of course the GC is much better looking.

They will have Predator tables at the BCA Nationals in Vegas in March, we will see how they play-

Haven't seen the bar boxes in person yet.
The 9 footers were terrible, with rail heights all over the place when they had them in Tucson.
I heard they fixed the problem so you need to find someone who has played on one recently.
Yeah, they look cheap as hell but the fitment was really nice.
Most GCs have that weird staggered mismatch look from the pocket to the rail.
The predator plastic tables fit more precisely without those gaps from what I remember.

played on both, play about the same

Diamonds just seem like tanks that will last forever

they're a bit stuck in the 90s with how they run their business but they are now at the point where they have several decades of history reliability and trust

in the future people hunting used tables 50 years from now will be advised to seek out today's diamonds

I haven't played a predator table. I would think most here haven't yet. What's wrong with diamonds (other than the five gallon bucket side pockets) ..that a switch is being considered. In the end its going to come down to a money deal.

I would think in a large event like the BCA, it would be advantageous to use a table that was designed to be transported (carted) and easily set up multiple times like the Diamond. The SAM (Predator) tables were not designed for this so that is primarily the reason there have been issues with these tables. They are more difficult to get right which compounds the problem. I'm sure if they are being setup and not moved, they would be fine but for some reason, CSI is hell bent on using them in situations they weren't designed for. I'd be pretty surprised if we don't have a lot of negative feedback from players at BCA regarding the tables.
