Diamonizing my GC3! Part1

A couple of months back I came across this forum and I posted that I had just had my local billiard shop redo my cloth and cushions, all I knew at the time was I wanted Simones and Superspeeds, and I only knew that much from playing some local 9 ball leagues and tourneys back in the mid nineties. Questioning the knowledge or expertise of the shop redoing my cloth and adding new cushions never entered my mind! I figured it’s a pool table, that’s what they do! As my table was being redone I started to get online to research the differences between the GC’s and I came across this forum. I started reading all the past post on the GC’s and started realizing how clueless I was about my pool table and what a real table mechanic actually does or should be taking care of. Now I realized what a hack job I just got and I felt I needed to get some answers. I posted looking for help and Glenn “Real King Cobra” was kind enough to give me some answers to all my questions. I soon discovered what a hack job I had just paid for! Oh well, lesson learned. After talking with Glenn and doing some more research I got a hold of Donny @ SD Billiards and he swung by to take a look and he put me in his schedule, I decided I wanted my GC3 leveled, rails extended, 4 5/16” corners, Diamond pocket angles, Artemis Intercontinental cushions and Simones 860 HR.
A couple of weeks later Glenn was in town on business and going over his new rail extension tooling with Donny and came by to take a look and took off the rails and get them over to Donny’s so they could get them done along with some other GC rails they were working on. Today it all came together finally. Donny also added four frame support angles and thru bolted the slate. I also had all the pocket castings, feet, name plates and counters powder coated in “Gold Vein” It is one sweet table now!
Anyways, I want to thank Glenn and Donny for all the help and getting my GC3 dialed in and Diamonized!

I think the guy I bought the table from added these facings himself!

Picture after the last hack job. He never asked how big I wanted the pockets, he just replaced with one shim and I ended up with huge buckets!
