Did Anyone See This?

I was just watching this out of curiosity. I stumbled on to it with 4 minutes left and the bid was at $121.00 dollars and the reserve wasn't met. I thought it was probably because of the rough condition or because the seller only had 3 feedbacks, or both.

Then with about 30 seconds to go the bid went to $750.00. I assume the buyer found out the reserve.

But the question is "is it worth it"?

Jeff,

I saw it when it was first listed.

I think it's a National from the late 1960's, early 1970's made by Ricco Cervantes, but the cue is all busted up. Been there, done that.

I used to have a National sneaky pete. It was a good cue.

This same buyer bought another cue that was listed as a Palmer but I wasn't sure what it was., although I was sure it wasn't a Palmer. It might have also been a National. Whoever he is, he's a machinist. I might e-mail him and ask him if he knows what those two cues are. Maybe I'll learn something.

The ones from the 1960's are definitely good stuff. They had some primo cue makers working there.
