Both times (Buddy and this guy) they oversell the misses IMHO.
In addition, the misses are ones that snooker players at that level just don't miss (for the most part.)

So I stumbled on this match last night on youtube and watched some. The tip on Mark Kings stick appeared to be a milimeter or two larger than his ferrule. Is that normal for snooker cues?

It's not normal but I've seen the odd one over the years.
