I heard they were closing & I can't get thru on their phone. Does anyone know what's going on?

I was there Saturday. Place was packed during the late morning, early afternoon. I did inquire with the houseman when they were moving and got an answer akin to "nobody knows."

I heard they found another place. Bob's a good businessman.

I must've called there 25 times today, nothing but a busy signal.

It could’ve been the telephone company’s fault Drexeline billiards is going to be open for the next 2 to 3 years with no problems ..... nuff said

I have ALWAYS loved Drexeline Billiards. I remember the very first time I went there was to a Joss tournament. We had trouble finding it because it was in the back of a small strip of stores. If you didn't know it was there, it was hard to find, but once you've been there, you always remember.

The inside is pristine clean, and the equipment is always maintained well. Bob used to have cool pool memorabilia on the walls. Really nice place!

Also, best of all, it was one of the first pool rooms I know of that had no smoking before no smoking bans became popular.

And they give the best trophies to winners, really cool trophies. My favorite trophy that Keith won came from Drexeline Billiards. Love that place. When they move, I know it will be THE best!

This was a 2004 Joss tournament photo, with Keith coming in first place and Allen Hopkins as runner up. It was tough tournament with players like Jose Parica, Dennis Hatch, Jalapena, Young Gun Shawn Wilkie, Mike Miller, Robb Saez, Karen Corr, just to name a few I can remember. That's the owner Bob Maidoff in the middle. Keith was always so proud when he scored a big W. :p

Look at those trophies! :lovies:

Tell Bob to move to Blue Bell Pa or Lake Worth Fl

There was an article in the local paper that the zoning was approved to demolish the bldg. & build an apartment complex on the site. It doesn't say when. Drexeline is a fantastic room so I hope never.
