Did going from a low-end cue to high-end improve your game?

This game is about confidence and ego, the minute you question either you lose. Every soul can make every shot, your lack of belief is your failure. Stop relying on an exotic piece, unless it meets your basic demands. A Bacote Merry Widow with a great tapered maple shaft will take you to the brink. If SVB can use a stock Cuetec, I think it’s customized, who cares. No more excuses.

Sage words to live by ! I bought a Cue Tec for my oldest grandson who showed promise and a true interest until he seen it was a crimson red cue , that was when he decided he didn't like it so now I've got a unplayed and only test hit cue hanging around in case anyone is interested ha ha !

Yes it does hit a ball rather well I was surprised to say the least !

Well said. While i have a small collection of cues from different makers and eras, i always explain to people looking for a cue that cost is does not make it a good playing cue for them.

Good playing cues come in all cost price ranges. Find a cue that the player likes in their price range and stick with it. I like my customs, but when someone asks me what they should buy, it is very rare for me recommend one.

I will say my first break and run happened 2 weeks after i got my first high end cue. Great playing Carmelli. I loved playing with that cue and spent nearly every day at the hall after getting it. It wasn’t the cue that got me that first Break and Run. It was loving the cue, the game and practice.
