Did He Win World Snooker Championships?

When Efren was becoming a legend in 9 ball, I suddenly remember that some years back, someone told me that he won a world snooker title in 1988, is that true? Can anyone confirm this? Or it's just another one those hoax.
 
Efren won the asian tournament i think it was the SEA games...i'm not sure the year though but he won gold medal in snooker
 
Cardinal is right,the Asian games is all he has won. With all due respect to the man, Efren wouldn't stand a chance agaianst the best in the world at snooker.
 
Well, that's still good though, gold medal in Asian games or Asean games. But I was wondering why he did not continue on playing snooker, there is more money than 9 ball pool tourney. Hope AZBilliards can ask Efren about this on his next interview.
 
I believe Efren would most likely kick ass at any game where you hit a ball with a cue. I know he played 3 cushion billiards for a while. He quit because no one would play him anymore.
