Did I get a good deal?

I stumbled into a going out of business sale at a place that sells spa's pool tables ect..

after a bit of wheeling and dealing I was able to take home a set of

super aramith pro-cup balls.. in the set with the ball cleaner and the Rempe training ball.

for $200 even..

is that a good deal or not??

I gave 159 for mine on Ebay, but if it seems fair to you who cares? Good luck with them, they are great balls. I haven't used the training ball since the day I got them. It threw my aim off a ton, but it's not like I'm very good.

Retail stores tend to be more expensive than the internet. just think of it as paying a few bucks to not have to wait for shipping.

Could you have found them online cheaper? Probably. But I wouldnt worry about it. You did well enough that the difference wouldnt be worth the wait. And you gave some money to a company that at least at one time tried to sell billiard supplies in your area.

Dont sweat it now, and just go enjoy them!

I've been playing really great tonight.. it's probably "new toy" syndrom .. but they do play very well..

I had cheap polyesters before and the difference is striking...


the numbers look all blurry.. is this normal??

they are still very readable I guess I just expected them to be crisp

they don't look bad LOL... but the black from the numbers seems to bleed into the white... and the same bleeding effect can be seen on the colored parts of the stripes too..

now you got me wondering if they are real LOL

If your happy with it then yes...
But they can be had for less..

there is a HUGE diffeerence from polyesters. When I was in Germany after my first back operation(of 5) I found a pool room 50 meters from my hotel with 3 perfect tables-some German made tables a cross between a GC and a Diamond, All 3 tables rolled good, perfect cloth, rails-everything except the balls. They were super light and sounded hollow and were very light. If you hit them hard enough they would lift up and fly into the pockets.

I was so mad I went to the local billiard store and picked up a set of Aramiths-the worlds most expensive set because the Euro was strong and my dollars were weak, probably cost me $300 buyt it was worth it, they are on my table now.
