Did I Make The Right Decision?

I am new to the forum and recently purchased an Olhausen BELMONT 8' table with upgraded cloth and accessory kit. The table was on sale for $1,995.

I have not played pool in many years but I spent my formative years as a rack boy (not much pay but all the play time I could get) and I want to play again instead of sitting in front of the TV all winter.

Does anyone have any experience with this table? If you own one, how do you like it?
 
Olhausen tables are a very good product. While not "all the rage" like Diamonds are lately, it should serve you well for years to come.

You should enjoy it very much. BTW did you go for the Cherry or Tulipwood finish? what was the "upgraded cloth"? Simonis?

Olhausen tables are quality products, just make sure you have a competent mechanic to set it up correctly.

I'm not an expert on tables but I think you made a correct decision in buying A table. By the way, I haven't seen rackboys in a looong time . You must be a s old as I am.:grin:
 
Thanks to everyone for your replies. It makes me feel good to know I made a good decision.

I purchased at Robbies Billiards in Williamsport, MD. They have been in business since 1954 and only use their own trained technicians so I think they should do a good install. Also, they warranty the installation for life (naturally, it has to be in the same spot as installed and not damaged from abuse.

Rack boys are indeed a thing of the past. We must both be old geezers 12310bch.
