Hi ya'll,

Again, thanks to all for the interest and sales of my cue collection. All cues found good homes, and I was able to tuck away a good chunk of funds for my family.

Being forever addicted, however...I figured I could appease my inner demon by trying to hook into a nice, "plain-side of the fence" Coker cue. (I EVEN GOT PERMISSION FROM THE WIFE TO GET ONE!! :) )

I've heard really good things, overall, about how they play (and a couple not-so-good...but opinions will vary, of course)....and I would like to try one out.

A plain jane would be my preferred route of travel...but I'm not opposed to 4 pointers, either. Price, of course, will drive the train.....as long as it's straight and sound (and not chewed up all to hell), I'm happy.

If you've got something toward the lower end of the Coker spectrum you'd be willing to part with, please let me know! I've still got a couple months of pool left in me...and I'd like to give a Coker a day in court before I leave.

Thanks a million, ya'll. Have a great weekend!

Guy,

Yes sir...and we've spoken already! :)

I'm doing what I can to keep my spending to a minimum (the wife DOES have her limits...so I'm told!!!:) )

That's why I figured I'd try for a plain-jane type. Solid nose and sleeve is what I'm hoping for.

Used to be, you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting 3-5 of 'em on E-bay...but not so much anymore.

Worst case, I might have to trade my last cue towards one..........

Thanks for looking out for me, though.

Be good, and have a great holiday weekend.

Hmmmm...

....I probably should have mentioned this in the first post.....

I'm doing whatever I can to keep my budget at or under around $400. I know the plain janes will fit that bill....and maybe a decent 4 pointer with some miles on it.....but that's about all I can swing without having to move out to the couch at night!! :)

Perhaps my new and unplayed Varney could be used as a partial trade for a nicer one????? :D

Thanks again, ya'll.

Hi Mark, I have a new uh-hit cocobolo signed Coker for sale. Thanks, Cory.

add'l pics

Hi, I only have 2 more pics. The butt is shown with optional custom matching cocobolo joint protectors. The cue is unplayed but it is an older cue that is signed Jan 2000. I understand the older cues hit better than the newer ones and were made by Tom before his stroke. I haven't taken the cue out for a while so I just checked it out. The shaft is straight but the butt has a very slight wobble or it could just be my bad eyes. I just found a small blemish in the finish at the edge of the black joint on the butt side which I'll try to buff out. I don't have a camera so I can't show you the grain close up but it is a nice piece of cocobolo. Because of the blemish I'll pay for shipping but the matching joint protectors will be $20 more which is what I paid for them. I can be reached at (808)285-4579 or I can call you if you prefer. Thanks for the interest, Cory.

Hi, I took the cue to Hawaiian Brian's last night and rolled it on a premium table in the back. The cue is dead straight.

I haven't taken the cue out for a long time so I wanted to make sure I represented the cue correctly but rolling the cue along the floor of a house built in 1946 is not exactly the best way to check straightness.
