Did you hear about Jasmine????

Now that I have your attention---Has anyone heard from the young up and coming star? Is she playing in the States or has she gone back to Austria? I know---she's just another young supple body with a pretty face who can play pool; but it was refreshing to see her on television.

If you saw her shoot live at the Worlds 14.1, and maybe on ESPN a few times, you'd realize calling her "...a young supple body with a pretty face who can play pool." is an insult.

There are far too many "bash the pro" insults going aruond here to begin with on the AZ.

I like her style - she's more of the "gunslinger" type, as opposed to the "technician" we see so much of in women's pool. She displays tons of confidence and intensity, she's good strategically in offense and defense, and has a killer demeanor. Those low-cut trousies are icing on the cake.

2. Supple body?
3. Pretty face?
4. Can shoot pool?

Most people would consider any of those a compliment---and that is how I meant it. Get a sense of humor.

I would say the insult is "just another" expression :p She is a prominent player already, just check the PAT rankings (http://www.pat-billiard.com/PATRanking.aspx) - she is 2nd overall in PAT1, 11th in PAT2, worse in PAT3 (25th), but one can see she possesses good technique and skill. And she plays 'male' style of pool, that to be one of the reasons for her to dominate soon. She is just tired of beating every woman at the Euro champs almost everytime, and looking forward to break to WPBSA scene. Beating Allison Fischer in the finals of last year's Enjoypool.com event is just a step toward her goal.
She is really nice player to watch.

"Insult" was just a misleading attention grabber, not unlike your title for this thread!@#;)

Honestly, I felt you may have been putting her youthful attractiveness ahead of her playing ability, and this may have been misconstrued as a slight, but NOT by me!

When I was at the World 14.1 Straight Pool tournament last year, her stroke and form really stood out, even with only 32 of some of the finest shooters still playing! I did not know who she was, but remember that stroke and stance. Really something to strive for.

But IMHO, Jasmin is attractive BECAUSE of the pool playing. There are many beautiful fish in the sea but few can run a nine ball rack. I reckon that's requirement number one for "Inzombiac's Wife Application":

1.Must be able to run a 9 ball rack.

I imagine when I'm 33 desperate and unmarried cus I never leave the poolhall the requirement will be:

Must have all 10 fingers and all 10 toes.

lolz. careful what you wish for! my aunt tried to hook me up with this rich single lady. only problem was she was 49 and i was 22 back then. :eek: :D :eek: didn't bother meeting with her. the age scared me!:D :D

Jassie is probably the most talented player i ever saw! Last weekend she ( together with Line Kjorsvik and Alex Lely) opened my new pub with pooltable in scheveningen Holland.....

Oh yeah and for the one who told us that she must be tired of beating all the women at the Europeans.... don't forget that Line K beated her ass in the semi's with 9-ball!

(sorry jassie..... i had to rub it in!my bad!!!!!);)

Line Kjorsvik is one of very few female European players who can compete with Jasmine - on her bad day :) Ouschan is already above imho.

The difference is the constant play! You are as good as you are on a bad day! So yep.... that means Ouschan is the better one! But then again on a good day.... Line will kick the s... out of anyone... even the men...:D
