Dieckman's cuebuilding videos?

I'm looking for input on Dieckman's cuebuilding videos. I know they're a few years old and that there are newer ones out there, but I'm not interested in production quality; rather content.
Any opinions?
I know there are also a few different sets?

Dieckman's current videos are 6 hours of "Cueniversity" advertisement with a little sprinkling of beginner tidbits of information. If you can find his older videos they were more instructive.

The ones from Cue Components are defiantly more detailed and informative for a beginner to get a reasonable amount of information.

Both are missing sections and process variations critical to making a complete cue from scratch.

Chris Hightower?s book is an excellent resource covering everything to get you started.

My suggestion would be get Chris's book and use the Cue Components videos to watch the processes being done to start to build a foundation.

i have to say there isnt a video out there that is more instructive then just making some dust yourself. they are a good start but thats about it. c.h. videos are great but experience is key. i learn something new everytime i make a cue.

I agree with you but for some one which starts without any experience you need to get some inspiration and know how to get started.

I have C.H videos and book and I have to say it has been very inspiring. I have actually read some of the books sections several times just to see if there is any details I have missed (English is not my native language)..

In respect of the posting question, I have not looked at any of Diekmans films but DVDs is for sure something to get going.

C.H DVDs is good but produced on old equipment (the two first) but the message is passed with his humor and instructions.
