I’m curious what the differences are between Predator 314 2 and Predator BK2 break shafts. I know the tips are different, but is there anything else different structurally speaking? I purchased Predator 314 2 shaft about a year ago and recently bought a 314 2 Z shaft. So I'm no longer using the 314 2 shaft and was wondering if its possible to convert into a BK2 break shaft. Is this a good idea or bad idea? Am i better off selling the 314 2 shaft and buying a Predator BK2 break shaft? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance!!

The 314-2 uses a Tiger Everest tip on a Maxlite ferrule whereas
the BK-2 uses a phenolic tip on an LBM ferrule.
Structurally, the shafts are very similar although the BK-2 may have a slightly different taper.
Of course there would be costs involved with converting the 314-2 to a BK-2
and without knowing what you paid for the 314-2, it may exceed what you could buy a BK-2 shaft for.
Then again, the 314-2 may not be as stiff due to taper difference.
The BK-2 was designed for breaking, the 314-2 was not.

Thanks KJ for your very insightful feedback!! Im now leaning towards selling the 314 2 shaft and will look to purchase a BK2 cue in the near future.
