Digital Pool at the DCC

Both Fedor and Shane have not used a rebuy, so this just doesn't make any sense.

could it be they draw the winners to play each other (but random draw) and then have losers play each other, if they buy back? otherwise i don't get how it would work
I don't know exactly how they do it, but it definitely can be done more random than that.

Put every player that can make it to the next round in the draw (which may include a bye if its an odd number). Once both players in a match have advanced from the previous round, you can announce the match. If a player gets eliminated, their next opponent waits until that happens to another player, then they are assigned against each other. Repeat until the end. If there is one player left over they would play against the guy that drew the bye, if there was none left over the original guy that drew the bye still gets the bye.

Buybacks complicate that a bit. Some players choose not to use their buyback, other players do use theirs. Not saying it is impossible, but I don't think I could figure out how to do it, lol. I will leave that up to math geeks.

If a player chooses to not use their buyback, this situation would happen: "If a player gets eliminated, their next opponent waits until that happens to another player, then they are assigned against each other."

So really, a player losing their second match, or a player choosing to not use their buyback, is the same thing, player is eliminated.

Although there are some rounds where up to 5 (or 4 because one player is listed twice) players are listed as having a bye, dont know wtf that is about.
