dime or nickel shape tip??

Nickel or dime shape?..... they are the same shape, they're round. I use the nickel shaper but don't go all the way down so the middle is still flat. That is my personal preference but I can't say I've ever found it that big of a deal to play with most any size radius, ellipse, parabola or pear shape tip as long as it's relatively intact.

I shoot with a Schon CX06 fitted with a McDermott I-3 shaft and a Moori soft tip. The tip diameter is 11.75 mm so I prefer a dime shaped tip. The tools I've found to be most useful for shaping tips are the Last4Ever and the Willards. I used the Willard for years but then bought a Last4Ever and like it better. When I used the Williard, I placed it on the floor and held it with my shoe tips. Then I inverted my cue and twirled it back and forth in the Willard. The Last4Ever is easier to use but either one will do the job very well.
But what shape tip I use, or anyone else for that matter, is really inconsequential - what is important is what shape you like and shoot best with, whether it be nickel, dime or flat. Good luck in your quest for the perfect tip shape.
