Did someone post on here not long ago, that a K66 measures 2 inches from the cushion nose to the point where the cloth exits the feather strip and K55 measures 2 1/8?
I have tried to find that post, but can't. So pardon me if the topic has been discussed before.

Thanks.

Typically 2 inches from the cushion nose tip to the back side of the featherstrip (where the cloth meets the rail cap), is standard no matter what profile cushion is installed. The subrail is adjusted to meet the 2 inch requirement.

The only exception that I’ve seen to that is when the subrails are extended for smaller, pro-cut pockets and the 2 inch subrail depth is increased slightly to keep the corner pocket shelves in specs.

But whats the bigger evil, changing the cushion nose to sub-rail dimension to get deeper shelves and changing the diamond system by not having a table twice as long as it is wide or leaving the nose to sub-rail dimension correct and playing with shallower shelves??

No real issues, especially if the table playing dimensions were on the big side to begin with. Just about all these specs have a plus or minus. Personally I don’t mind a table that is slightly over, or under, the play field dimensions. I would much rather it be off in that dimension than pocket specs that were off compared to a tournament table that I might be playing on. All tables are going to play a little different and that’s just part of the experience.
