Dimensions of Gold Crown II

Would someone please provide the outside dimensions of a 4 1/2 x 9 Gold Crown II?

I have bought one, to be installed Friday. I have an 8 foot Gandy and, due to the room layout, will need to move the GC forward instead of centering it where the Gandy was placed. The table is currently broke down for transport and cannot be measured.

Thank you for your help.

What really matters, IMO, is the playing surface....which is 50 by 100 inches.
...so it would be nice to have the wall or obstruction about 63 inches over those figures....
...which allows you a five inch backstroke when stuck on the rail.

So a space roughly 19 by 14.8 would be great.

Out of curiosity, I just measured my GC III.

The outside dimensions are 113" X 63 1/2".

I agree. A few years back when opening a new room, there was a big argument among us about whether or not the room could fit Diamonds versus Brunswicks which have a smaller footprint. I had to step in and remind them that the width of the rails would be a relative non-factor when determining needed space. It was the "Aha" moment for the group.

To put it another way, the needed space is determined by the playing area's length and width plus the length of your cue (add a few inches for back stroke). The width of the rail does not come into play at all so if you're replacing one 9-foot table with another 9-foot table, everything should be the same.

Bear in mind, I'm still not entirely sure how movers got my couch through my front door so there's a good chance there's something I'm missing.

I just did the same with my GC4. The outside dimensions are 114" x 64.5". I bet the difference is due to a measuring discrepancy, rather than a table size discrepancy:)

To the OP, as the other members have stated, the outside dimensions should not make any difference. Except maybe in a commercial pool room environment where sometimes the tables are close enough together that the butt of a shooter is sometimes on the rail of the adjacent table.

Men, Thank you for your response. I will plan on 65 inches from the offending wall and the other 3 walls are good to go.

65 inches should be fine. If it's a short side, you should make that the head of the table. Fewer shots are played from the head side of the table.
