Hi everybody.
This post is not a review, but I want to know your thoughts on my problem.

I discovered yesterday that on the butt cap of my Mezz PB2 cues, I have a lot of severe dings, here are the photos.

How do you think, what is the cause of their apparition? I want to mention, that my cues stay in case, when I'm not playing, and the case is stored in my home. When I play only I break with my cue. I really have no idea what can produced that dings, can it be from the case? Is a cheap case (40$), but I have the case from almost 3 years, and I haven't any problem with it. If that dings are from the table, than I should have injuries on my break hand. I'm out of thoughts, what can be the cause.

Interesting to me, since I just got a powerbreak 2 a couple of weeks ago.

Not sure, but have a theory. Do you think because the powerbreak butt is 4 inches shorter, that it slides up and down a lot more in your case?

Sure it slides more, but look at those dings, you had to try pretty hard to make them. I'm very careful with my cues, I don't hit or abuse them.

Not sure.

I'm pondering whether to put paper towels at the bottom of one of the cue holders so that I don't half to tilt over my case to get at my powerbreak. Problem would be if I decide I want to change my break cue...

I had the same problem when i bought the Mezz short cue and that's how I resolved it. I made 2 joint protectors from my cues, and on the Mezz PB2 joint protector I tied a red rope and made a loop. The loop I'm attaching to the joint protector of my player cue. With that trick i extract my cues and shaft fast and easy.

PS See the main forum for the tip protector trick.

I think I find the cause of that dings, it seems to be the watch bracelet. When I break the metal link scratches the cue but.

Bracelet

I had the exact same problem and it was driving me nuts. It turned out to be my bracelet.

Thanks for your reply. Yes it's the metal bracelet of the watch.
So sad to damage the cue in a such "stupid" way.

Pool player be aware, don't wear watches or bracelet on your grip hand, it can destroy the finish of your cue.
