I guess we can appreciate the IPT on-line tournament coverage a lot more after watching the HORRIBLE coverage of Turning Stone

If you think the coverage is that horrible then i would suggest that either..

1) you drive up and watch the tournament in person and bring a lap top to give the updates for everybody to enjoy
or hell you only live about 5 hours away
2). you pay for espn to come and do the coverage so we can all stay home and watch it and that way the place will be empty.......

the people who provide the updates are doing it as a favor for the people on here to enjoy. I cannot tell if your post was made in jest or if you are serious. so these could be your options............mike

I think the original poster appreciates updates from forum members and
is referring to the lack of coverage from the tournament organizers.

It's truly brutal. the last Clash of the Champions was the same way.

Evidently they have an internet cafe at the venue so you would think
updates wouldn't be very difficult.
 
the person who usually posts updates from all Jos events is Dana Bufalo... unfortunately Dana is at Turning stone as tournament director. i also would like more updates in a timely fashion but i guess we will all just have to bear with it for now. Maybe in the future we can get either JAM or timberly up there to post for us.................mike
 
LOL, so the tourney director can't have someone walk over to a pc and post results?

And we wonder why the sport is often looked at as bushleague....
 
I hope you guys realize that someone is posting this information not for $$$, but for the love of the sport.

I'll probably get into trouble for this...but I know for a fact that updates have been e-mailed and called in on a regular basis..

The failure to post them rests with with this website..

Mitch the photgrapher was calling updates in..and e-mailing them..
 
well i know that Mike H. from az was at the last tournament and was posting results on here or us. Like someone else said. some poeple are posting for us for the love of the game. Maybe we should all get together and start a fund for Mike H to hire someone to go to these events. sit there from 10am to sometimes 12 midnight. so they can sit in front of a computer and post us a play by play of every match they can possibly see because we are unhappy with what we are grnerally getting for free.... Yeah thats a good idea........................mike.
 
...perhaps who ever is covering it could just post to the forum rather than sending it in..

It's a little more efficient..

It would be nice to see the front page more updated..

jam used the business center..which I don't think is open late at night..

Mitch was calling in on his cell, and going to his room to e-mail the results in..

I know running a website and keeping info current isn't easy..

especially if your short staffed...
