DIY - Build your own professional Filipino-style pool table

What is the name of that game? I had a kid from the Philippines join a team a couple years ago and he said he grew up playing that, whatever it's called. They learn how to shoot pretty good playing that game. He went up like a rocket in the league standings.

I think they call it Pool.
 
Found this thread while searching for a Filipino pool table to buy lol. I can’t fit a regular table in my house but maybe one of these smaller ones would work out and keep me in the right mindset
