Do the Pro's have any annual competitions in Phoenix, AZ?

Example of a chip tournament.....FYI...incoming player breaks....race to 1......if you lose you lose a chip......Very much a "social" event.....A 720 can only lose 2 games the whole tournament.....and has to play probably more than 30 games.....NOTE: The faster you run out....the quicker you get to the next game...all it takes is one quick combo or even a break and run (9-ball) from the incoming player to lose a game. Very much a tournament that favors the lower rated player, becuase if you lose a chip you get back in line and sit until all other players have played.....It also favors players that take multiple innings per game.....or drag thier feet between shots...run to the bathroom etc etc....TDs do what they can to not let that happen...but only so much they can really do....creative "saftey misses" are very much a part of the gaming the system. Okay, so chip tournaments are played one just 1 table, like a challenge table, where the winner the stays on. and the loser gets back in line? Sounds like fun, but in 9 ball, anything can happen. At least someone like me for example, would get 5 chips. That is cool. The 720 player might be able to hold the table for 30 games straight though, but unlikely.

That was the event I mentioned (post #2) that ended up being held at Kolby's. (IIRC I think it was supposed to be at a Hotel but the hotel it was supposed to be held at became unavailable and Kolby stepped up) Big Fiasco....Chuck got himself in all kinds of a bad situation...........Never crossed paths with Chuck again after that event......Never found out if it got resolved or anything.........That was back when I played on the last Alexanders team to win AZBCA .......Alexanders then closed....started playing at a different room......Got jerked around by my own teamates that I thought were my freinds....turned out I was just a pawn in thier Vegas plans.......quit league and started playing more poker.....petty much fell out of the AZ pool scene........Found out that one of those so called "friends" took over the league and at the end of the season all the league money was "stolen".....I don't know the details other than the "cash" (not in a bank) was stolen from his house. Never heard of the outcome details and have not seen him at any of my cameo tournament appearances.

Chuck was a Vietnam Vet, hell of Army Chopper Pilot, loved Pool but fouled up great idea, that turn out not so good.

Old Story, but still has effect on AZ Pool years later.

Believe Chuck died, but not the story of his one BAD EVENT TRY.

Wish at the time of the Fiasco when I predicted trouble, and could almost predict something not good happening. Should have tendon bet from all the believers these was nothing wrong, would have cleaned up when I collect on my prediction.

No....# of tables depends on how many players....but multiple tables.....Race to 1. winner stays at the table, loser reports to TD (to get back in line) and loses a chip. First in line gets sent to that table and gets the break (Winner from previous game racks for incomming player)....A good player can win 3 games before two players (on another table) finish 1 game.
