do we have to win every time?

Oldplayer,

Here's a good example.

I suffered my first loss at TAP last night. Yes. I made some mistakes but overall I got my a$$ handed to me last night. A few mistakes and rattling pockets that are 5", I was definitely out played.

All in all, I shrugged it off and realized where a few weaknesses are and I'll work them out sooner or later.

I always keep an old cartoon in my head of a heron swallowing a frog. The frog has his hands around the heron's neck and the caption reads "Never Give Up".

it depends on what you want out of it. If you are there just to have fun or to be competitive but don't take it too seriously then no. If you want to be the best in your league and win the money then you should never be satisfied with a loss.

Me personally i make it where losing is not an option. I am very serious about it and practice everyday. I am not even satisfied with a win half the time unless i know I played to my potential (sometimes not even then). I never feel like throwing my stuff out and quitting or get mad or anything but i always want to win. However more than winning I am concerned about how I preform and if i preform up to my potential.

it just depends on your experience and what you want.

Personaly I will not be satisfied till I get the US amateur championship trophy sitting on my desk (which will take years for me to achieve).
