Do you blame your stroke hand(rear) for misses?

If so what do you do or plan to do to correct it. Personally I think my left hand is only partly controllable. I've tried everything a guy can do, including switching to playing rightie, but with no luck. If it weren't for that I could be playing b plus pool instead of b minus where i've stayed for years.

I personally believe the back hand is the most over looked and most important point of observation when addressing misses that you know you "see" well.

Its the first thing I consider now when I feel like I'm leaving balls up that I expect to play easily. The grip,"piston action", follow through...all that jazz will screw me up in a minute if don't at least give em thought during warm-ups.

So yes,I often blame the back hand, and I'm often correct.

no not really, I usually miss from not paying attention to my pre-shot! or changing my mind down over the shot, and not getting up to start over.

Gotta ditto Thunderball on this one. I can be doing everything right; but, if I leave that slight pause at the CB and {especially the}"rear" out of that thought process I will more than likely miss. IMHO the thought process has to be all inclusive -- if you miss one rung you will more then likely fall off the ladder! If the last one is missed it is longer to fall!

The spf method seems to work the best for me and I haven't even taken a lesson yet. I just read what the guys said and did it. I stroke until I see my line then I spf and make it 8/10 times. It is amazing to me. I hope to meet Randy at DCC and talk to him some. If he isn't there, then Spidey is my next choice. Good shootin'

Dwight
