Friend has this coin apparently he got while in France, say it is like a luck charm, never goes no where with out it. He uses it to make win when playing pool, is very protective of the French Coin that is like the side of a US Quarter.

I've always said my cue is my lucky charm. I guess that counts...

I'd be willing to bet that some of the cue makers on here could take someones lucky charm and embed it into the cue. That'd be pretty unique. Credit goes to me. lol

Yes, my dad had it since he got it in the late 20's. It's a good luck coin from Thurston The Magician. It's always with me.

I used to keep the coin in my avatar in my cue case. Now that it's worth much more than my cue, I leave it at home.

My father was one of seven brothers. When each child was born, my grandmother would get a new twenty-dollar gold piece and put it away for him, then give it to him on his sixteenth birthday. When one of the sons would die, his gold coin would go to someone else in the family. The one I have originally belonged to my uncle Howard (my namesake and the oldest of the brothers), who was born in 1904.

I wear a nazar boncuk in my earring (turkish evil eye bead)

can't say it's helped much.

Well, I do carry a Mercury-head dime in my wallet and a foot long square of cocobolo in my case. But I'm not sure I'd call them lucky... I only use the dime when I don't have a coin to flip, and the cocobolo's more of a weapon than anything :p
