if its worth doing, its worth doing for $$$.
I started playing pool because of $$ and still have that mind set. Perhaps i dont get the "Joy" out of pool that some people do, but $$ won is twice as sweet as $$ earned (heard that in a movie-I couldnt have said it better). Sending someone home broke, beat and busted is great. Sounds horrible in the PC world, but for me thats what its all about.
having said that, i dont gamble with friends, i play them real cheap or in a very few cases free(but i get board after a couple hours)
