Do you preserve your Pool Memories?

Howdy.

I am wondering if people on here make Scrapbooks of their cues, tournaments, trophy pictures, event pictures, etc.

Before Katrina came to my town, I had a wall of scrapbook layouts with my very humble billiard achievements - like my team pics when we went to Vegas in 92, made the local newspaper, local tourney champion lists, and team photos.

Of course, all of that is gone now. Thank goodness for digital pictures though. However, the handmade parts are gone.

Anyone else out there scrapbook their billiards events?

There are not a lot of papers and embellishments for billiards enthusiasts, but I am trying to change that. Currently we stock some very nice paper and embellishments or both billiards and dart players. I hope that more will be available soon.

Over the years (about 20) I've saved a lot of old tournament announcements, flyers, newspaper clippings, and photos, etc.

It was only this year I thought I should either just throw the stuff out or put it in a scrapbook. Glad to hear you're providing the papers and embellishments- I'll keep checking your website!
 
I'm sorry to hear you lost a lot of your memorbilia, at least you have your digitals. Everytime we have a hurricane here, I box up (in rubbermaid) all my family photos just in case we get flooded. We've flooded twice...
I got into scrapbooking a couple of years ago so I made a nice book of my first year (1997) as the coordinator for the ladies florida tour. It turned out really nice, I had some photos and flyers left over and I had all the stories that I had written from American Cueist, All About Pool and some of the bigger magazines. We had awesome color ads in Billiards Digest and Pool & Billiard not to mention a nice article written by Tom Shaw. The book turned out really nice, but was a big job. I still have 2 more years to complete for my time as a tournament director/tour coordinator and even before that as a wpba coordinator, but, I'll get to it.
 
The wife and I are both BIG pool fans, and a few years ago when the "H's" hit Florida we were buggin out and loading the car. On the first trip I had my cue case and wedding album.....she had her George case, and a big box of memorabilia from our wedding, tournaments, and the rooms we worked in....we both looked at eachother and laughed! :D
