Do you start slow or fast

It seems I am a slow to start player. When ever I play I need to get on the table and hit 15 to 30 shots to get in stroke. If I just start playing, I play like shit.
Now I am not great player, a strong 4 by APA and a 7 in my local league. But I will get in a race to 10 with people and unless I've been playing some befor our match, I will loose the first few games badly, then I normally come back and win in the end. I don't often lose a race to 10 but always start slow. It's very frustrating. Anyone else have this problem?

I do not see problem with the 15 or 30 balls, as long as you are consistent during matches, otherwise, back to the drawing board, sorry.

id say im usually more of a slow starter, sometimes its hard for me to get my shoulder muscles loose. but there are those times when i really feel like playing pool, and i can hop on the table and be in stroke immediately.

ive had many times where ill lose a few games because i didnt warm up, and then afterwards ill go practice for like 30 minutes by myself and look like a completely new player the next game.

id say its usually a good idea to hit at least 1 or 2 racks in before you go into a serious game.

Definitely slow. It takes me so long to get in groove, many times I never do before the night is over.
